Guidehouse Director Public Financial Services Technology Consulting in Boston, Massachusetts

What You Will Do :

  • Work closely with Public Sector Financial Services and Financial Services Account Leaders to deliver IT solutions to our clients. This includes:

  • Foster new and current relationship to drive new project in the Technology Consulting Space

  • Lead Captures of large and complex Technology opportunities, leveraging assets of Guidehouse Public Financial Services

  • Spearhead teaming with software/hardware providers in developing and delivering technology projects for our clients

  • End to end management of IT client engagements - detailed project plans, scope and budget definition, resource allocation, product delivery, maintenance

  • Organize and facilitate project timelines with clients and team, including generating estimates for project complexity and duration

  • Serve as point person in client communications and manage developer/client interactions

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project development and client management skills with in Public Financial Services

  • Manage Government Financial Service Agencies client relationship and expectations throughout project lifecycle in order to build confidence, deliver excellence, and sell consulting services.

What You Will Need :

  • 15+ years of Technology Consulting (eg Big 4) experience, building technology solutions to include large-scale IT modernization initiatives in a variety of different environments (private, public, hybrid cloud), and software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

  • 10+ years of experience leading business development pursuits in government/pubic agencies

  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry and particularly financial oversight agencies (highly preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to drive new business in technology consulting through relationships/teaming and subject matter expertise.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related

  • Background in managing enterprise level web and software development projects

  • Certified Scrum Master, PMP, PMI, CSM or other relevant certifications

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Previous experience interfacing with clients in consulting environment delivering work to financial oversight government agencies

  • Well-versed in cloud migrations with leading Cloud Service Providers

  • Excellent ability to multi-task (you’ll be managing 2-4 projects simultaneously)

  • Very good command of English – written and verbal

  • Outstanding organization, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Experience managing or mentoring other project managers

The annual salary range for this position is $135,600.00-$298,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
