KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Strategic Foresight and Market Scouting to join our Innovation & Enterprise Solutions organization.
Lead efforts to detect discontinuous change early, work with a dedicated team to interpret its consequences for the firm, and inform future courses of action to ensure the long-term survival and success of the firm
Identify and surface (weak) signals through traditional strategic/corporate foresight methods including, but not limited to, market scouting efforts, interfacing with both internal and external subject matters professionals, and Delphi method
Oversee patterns and themes relevant to the firm, systematically assess tipping points of important or revolutionary change in our industry, and organize and present these patterns and tipping points to senior firm leadership
Create and execute on a comprehensive scouting plan including adequate coverage across conferences/events, academic and research organizations, venture capital activity, and enterprise technology investment
Provide insights into key emerging trends to support the team’s research pipeline and strategic and investment recommendations to firm leadership
Contextualize external market trends into strategic implications for the various internal functions and industry leadership teams
A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in corporate strategy, corporate foresight, business development, or similar market scouting and strategy functions
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Deep knowledge and subject matter proficiency in emerging technologies, trends scouting, and foresight analysis
Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships both internally and externally
Excellent communication and presentations skills
Self-direct management of multiple projects
