What you'll do here:

As the Director of Technology Solutions Partner for Marketing (TSP), you will partner with the Marketing organization to improve and modernizer the Marketing Technology (MarTech) stack to enable our business to transform the ways we interact with our customers. This is a highly visible and high impact role on our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team.

Know platforms and systems:

  • Understand the elements of a complex MarTech stack

  • Understand how systems and integrations can be simplified.

  • Effectively communicate vision, business value and strategy to technical teams and partners

  • Understand the role of marketing technology and systems as well as how emerging and enterprise technologies can support business needs.

    Know our business:

  • Understand global marketing needs, workflows, value drivers, decision making processes, as well as unstated intentions / goals.

  • Understand business context – mission, strategy, market differentiators (account activations, sell through, sources of growth), etc.

  • Understand the education markets we serve – Higher Education, Workforce Skills, Secondary Education, English Language Teaching, and Research – and their product offerings, competitors, path to market, and diverse marketing needs.

    Make bold business decisions:

  • Enable decisions that move our marketers forward while understanding associated risks and implications.

  • Clearly balance 'reusability/scale' considerations to make diverse decisions that deliver value.

  • Actively manage technology risk, debt, and non-functional requirements.

    Be an Integrator:

  • Lead and drive communication at all levels with strong presentation skills

  • Maintain an open, updated and prioritized backlog along with easy-to-understand user intent / value stories.

    Define, implement, & deliver technical solutions to business problems:

  • Clearly document and articulate 'the why' of what we're doing to ensure user goals for each requirement are understood by the team and partners.

  • Effectively lead and groom backlog, with sufficient lead time for the team to plan the work.

  • Take time to invest in planning the next build cycle during the current build cycle.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 8+ experience leading Marketing Technologies implementations and evolution (SFDC Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Analytics, CMS, DAM, SEO/SEM)

  • Consulting experience in management consulting, SaaS implementations, digital transformation

  • Experience working directly with Business Unit leaders and ensuring technology alignment to implement strategic goals

  • Proficient at communication and communication tools to effectively deliver information and recommendations to diverse and often senior audiences.

  • Collaborative problem solving and work style that can lead change through influence.

  • Able to self-manage progress against work with a high degree urgency and accountability.

  • Customer oriented with a strong service and solutions orientation.

    Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • MBA or graduate level education

  • Experience partnering with business leadership to align strategy with the technology roadmap.

  • Experience with multi-functional business practices and management metrics.

  • Experience working in or supporting businesses operating in international markets – specifically: EMEA, Asia/Australia, Latin America.

  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of financial processes, ERP, CRM Commerce.
