Pfizer EHS Systems Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains EHS Policy, Standards and supporting governance documents, ensuring that expectationsare clearly defined with appropriate stakeholder consultation, and in alignment with ISO standards.

  • Leads the enterprise EHS risk evaluation process facilitating objective assessment of the effectiveness of our management systems

  • Oversees development of training and communications to enable effective implementation of EHS management systems.

  • Drives the overall strategy for digital solutions to optimize EHS / Business resilience management, settingdepartment objectives and plans to ensure delivery of businessobjectives.

  • Serves as the primary interface between theEHSCommunity and Pfizer Digital, collaborating to define user requirements, evaluate / develop solutions, drive deploymentand enable continuous improvement of core EHS Digitalsystems.

  • Oversees the delivery of EHS / Business Resilience Digital projects, in partnership with Pfizer Digital, ensuring appropriate change management is established to enable effective execution

  • Member of the Global EHS Leadership team, with joint accountability for driving EHS program strategies and priorities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate Degree in Life Sciences, EHS, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 15 years' experience as EHS practitioner with broad technical and regulatory experience, who can effectively operate in a matrix organization to drive performance improvement.

  • Experience gained of leading deployment of EHS systems certified to ISO standards (45001, 18001) in a relevant industry e.g., biotech, chemical, biopharma

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active current membership in at least one relevant professional body, with a formal continuous professional development requirement.

  • Experience as a people manager.

  • Track record of leading cross functional and virtual teams in complex environments.

  • Experience working in dynamic complex, matrixed business models.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Due to the nature of work assignments, the role holder must be able to perform detailed work with limited oversight on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraints while advancing long term priorities.

  • Daily interactions with colleagues through face to face or virtual meetings enabled using technology such as webex and video conference requiring ability to effectively exchange ideas and information with colleagues using these systems.

  • Ability to understand, evaluate, interpret and explain multiple complex inputs and provide clear direction.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work outside standard working hours (early mornings / evenings) to manage a geographically diverse team; and maintain communications / networks across a global network.

For roles based in New York City: The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,800.00 to $269,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
