The Microsoft Azure team is committed to providing customers with a world-class experience in transforming their businesses through Cloud computing. The Worldwide Azure Adoption Advisory team is a corporate sponsored, geographically aligned team of passionate professionals partnering with our global salesforce to provide a great customer experience by providing the right recommendations and resources at the right time to accelerate customers’ digital transformation leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud services. As an Engagement Program Manager for the WW Azure Adoption Advisory team, you will have an opportunity to impact customer success in 3 primary ways: 1. By leading a geographically aligned virtual team to effectively meet sellers where they are to coach, guide, and co-execute when needed to insure best practices are applied to their Azure engagements to impact end-to-end execution at scale; 2. You will be a critical escalation point for the local teams and consult on priority engagements. You will facilitate connection to the right resource at the right time to overcome blockers and advance the velocity and success of customer projects; and 3. You will use your subject matter expertise to co-own specific priority engagements aligned to you that are leveraging Microsoft’s “hero” program for assisting customers with their journey to Azure – the Azure Migration & Modernization Program (AMMP). You will help program manage certain field-facing aspects of the program and work with your local virtual team to land field and partner readiness and activation efforts.

Responsibilities

As the Engagement Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to bring insights and recommendations to key decision makers across multiple corporate functions. Your ability to be an effective voice of the field and ecosystem will enable you to positively influence Microsoft’s execution strategy, including migration and modernization related programs and other investments. You and your peers will be looked to as a vital conduit to help “land” sales strategy and best practices to enhance local execution and drive mutual success with customers and partners.

Primary accountabilities for this role include executing the following in the Americas

  • Execute the “ Azure Adoption Advisory ” strategy to impac t : you will align with local leadership, sales teams, and priority partners. This includes ensuring your team is embedded into local business rhythms for strong connection and joint execution. You will partner across all local functions (Marketing, Partner facing roles, sales roles, and more) to understand local needs and provide guidance and support for their pipeline of priority migration engagements. This includes being an effective conduit to engage the appropriate Corporate programs and resources to unblock the sales teams to drive migration velocity across all stages of the migration journey. You will consult on potential approaches and corporate resources to leverage, facilitate connection to those resources, and be the authoritative voice of the corporate Migration Desk in your local geography.As a result, you will demonstrate impact on sales KPIs.

  • Drive priority Azure Migration and Modernization Program Engagements : The Azure Migration & Modernization Program (AMMP) is Microsoft’s “hero” program for supporting customer adoption of Azure. The program is designed to apply the right Microsoft and Partner assets and methodologies to customer projects to ensure their success.Whereas the “Azure Adoption Advisory” provides consult across the entire migration pipeline, a subset of engagements will leverage the Azure Migration Program - y ou will be central to helping the geography you are aligned with fully utilize the program to accelerate migrations. This includes leading strategy development forspecific priority engagements. Through your understanding of Corporate sponsored programs, field and partner sales, and customer’s business considerations, you will apply sound judgment and programmatic rigor in driving alignment on a situational basis to determine the right approach to supporting the customer, and formalizing this approach through a documented migration “offer package” the customer will approve to commence the migration.You will assist the field with a portfolio of engagements, and document and share insights, learning, and recommendations. As aresult, you will demonstrate impact on Program ROI and customer satisfaction.

  • Influence Strategy: You will package insights from your local execution into critical corporate decision-making forums. You will be looked to as an expert regarding execution in your local market, representing field, customer, and partner feedback to land recommendations that impact migration related programs, investment, and go-to-market campaigns. As a result, you will demonstrate impact on corporate deliverables and field/partner satisfaction with the programs they consume.

  • Increase local capability: Through your collaboration with corporate stakeholders on innovating Microsoft’s programs and investments, and your partnership with local sales teams, you will land and coach best practices to help increase local seller capability. You will assist in increasing seller effectiveness through coaching the local leaders (sales managers, etc.), supporting their readiness strategy and events, and other related activity.This will result in your positive impact on sales force effectiveness and long-term change management initiatives.

Qualifications

Professional

  • 5+ years experienceselling business solutions to enterprise customerswith a focus on application, data, and/or infrastructuretechnologies

  • 3+ yearsmanaging programs and/ordriving complex processes withenterprise customerswith a focus on application, data,and/orinfrastructure technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply operational rigor and excellence in execution to achieve goals with high quality.

  • Executive Presence. Experience and expertiseengaging withsenior business decision makers(internal, customer, partner)by aligning & reinforcing the value of the solutionand program and processtoachieve thecustomer’s strategic opportunity.

  • Strong self-motivation and Problem-Solving ability withdemonstratedcustomer-centric positive outcomes.Ability to worksuccessfullyin geography without direct, physical access to manageror teammates (globally distributed team).

  • Collaborative. Demonstrated ability to orchestrate,influenceand collaborate withvirtual teams to pursue opportunities and lead v-teams through influence.

  • Partners. Understanding of partner ecosystems, experience driving co-selling engagements with partners, and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.

  • Azure Platform. Understanding ofMicrosoft Azure Platform andrelatedsolutions. This includesthe ability to articulate and present the business value of Microsoft's solutionswithin the context of the solution your Azure Migration Offer is intended to support.

  • Leadership. Experience leadingor being a key contributor tolarge cloudengagements,especially those involvinginfrastructuremigration

  • Competitive Landscape. Knowledge ofcloud and datacenterinfrastructure competitor landscape, includingan understanding ofkey sales approaches andmigration support programs that directly compete with youractivities

  • Education . Bachelor's degree inBusiness Administrationor Computer Science,a similar information technology-related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States. You can expect limited global travel, 0 – 25%, contingent upon Covid-19 restrictions.
