We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Vehicle Prognostics research engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented engineers dedicated to develop advanced prognostics features leveraging cutting edge ML/AI technologies.

What you will be able to do?
Lead and mentor a team of prognostics research engineers providing guidance and support in their daily activities. Initiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.
Implement strategies for developing vehicle system/component health monitors to minimize downtime by modelling their degradation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with core engineering, platform systems, customer service division, systems engineering, digital product to integrate prognostics features into our customer experience.
Provide technical leadership to the team through all phases of prognostics feature development to ensure robust program execution and performance.
Help drive concept testing, small & large scale data collection, verification and validation tests including but not limited to bench tests, lab tests, proving ground tests and in vehicle dynamic tests.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in prognostics, predictive maintenance and advanced computational methods ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related fields or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written skills. Highly credible in organizational, time management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Experience in developing new features/products from Concept readiness to Application readiness to program launch.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods, physics and engineering principles.
Working knowledge of automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).
Experience in open-source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, etc. acquired through college course work, online training and certification or project development.
Experience dealing with vehicle data collection software.
Our preferred requirements
PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related fields or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
Experience in leading advanced engineering teams delivering measurable impacts.
Familiarity working with Automotive prognostics feature development using connected vehicle data.
Expertise in application of statistical and machine learning methods e.g., ANOVA, PCA, clustering methods, causal inference, time series forecasting, random forest, multi-variate analysis, neural networks, etc.
Expertise in open-source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, etc.
Experience in software development for automotive controls with hands on experience using MATLAB for post processing large scale data and understanding of programming fundamentals and experience with C++ programming in embedded environments. ATI and ETAS calibration tool familiarity
