Job Description

The Digital Data Management and Governance Product Line Lead is a senior leadership position in Digital Services, responsible for establishing and driving data management strategy related to master data and critical reference data to maximize efficiency, innovation, governance, and data quality. The Product Line Lead has the overall data management accountability in product strategy definition and planning, roadmap design and development, and services, solutions, and associated platforms to deliver competitive advantage and business value across the organization.

Provide strategic leadership, directions, and drive priorities across squads and product teams in the data management product line and is responsible for holistic product line value delivery. Acts as the “Mini-CEO” of the product line and has overall accountability for value delivery. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Digital Services in Digital Manufacturing, this role is responsible to build and sustain a best-in-class, leading data management, data governance, and data quality organization, focused on providing high-quality master data with the fit-for-purpose technology and innovation, unleashing the power of data and digital, and driving competitive advantage in our Manufacturing Division in alignment with business objectives.

The Product Line Lead sets the vision for master data management (MDM) platform, technologies, and data and digital products, anticipating future business capabilities and ensures that vision is realized through the implementation of the product strategy. The Product Line Lead owns end-to-end responsibility for all the products in the product line - including strategy, roadmap, total cost of ownership, user satisfaction, product quality.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Establish and drive our Manufacturing Division's master data management (MDM) strategy related to resourcing, technologies and processes to maximize business value, efficiency, data quality, and innovation based on best-in-class, trusted and compliant data management baseline.

  • Strategic leadership of this product line to enable a team focused on the delivery of data management, data governance, data quality management, data literacy, and integration capability in support of digital strategy execution and the digital Manufacturing portfolio priorities.

  • Develop and execute MDM technology platform and product vision, strategy, and roadmap to achieve business outcomes for Manufacturing in alignment with organizational priorities and goals.

  • Develop, implement, and be accountable for the operational master data ownership strategy in support of the digital Manufacturing portfolio.

  • Lead the Manufacturing data quality function, implement best practices to deliver timely and high-quality data management deliverables through data catalog, data quality management and stewardship for Manufacturing. Enable data quality leveraging AI/ GenAI capabilities.

  • Proactively identify and solve complex data quality and data management challenges that impact the business and affect the success of the Manufacturing digital strategy execution. Deliver and sustain data management solutions and services that deliver a frictionless experience to end users.

  • Lead development and implementation of data quality metrics reporting and analytics capabilities.

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and delivery of Digital Manufacturing MDM data platform, product lifecycle management (PLM), data governance products and relevant capabilities. Deliver business value, benefits, vendor/contract management and OKRs tracking through realization.

  • Forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders including Digital Manufacturing value teams across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, CTO, enterprise and cross-divisional functions, and external partners for the implementation of data management activities.

  • Accountable for the resourcing to enable appropriate staffing support for master data management across divisional and enterprise applications to ensure organizational success and business benefits.

  • Extensive knowledgeable, key insights, strong leadership qualities and has the current and emerging priorities.

  • Leads the definition, implementation, and review of the organization's systems development management framework. Authorizes the structure of systems development functions and platforms and is responsible for alignment with business strategy & objectives and with emerging IT and digital opportunities.

  • Manage budget and total cost of ownership of the product line.

  • Develops organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools. Sets direction and leads in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools, to match overall business requirements, ensuring consistency across all user groups. Leads the development of organizational capabilities for methods and tools (including automation) to ensure adoption and adherence to policies and standards

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Preferred: MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in biopharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated digital and leadership experience, managing comprehensive, cross-functional teams in spaces such as Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Literacy.

  • Domain knowledge and leadership experience in Data Management capabilities, Product Lifecycle Management, Data Platforms capabilities, and Master Data Management expertise for manufacturing related master and reference data.

  • Collaborative partner and leader with ability to influence effectively and drive accountability across our Manufacturing organization.

  • Experience in Agile Scrum development with product owner experience.

  • Proven leadership in solutions delivery and sustainment.

  • Deep expertise related to data & digital products, from design to building process and deployment.

  • Strong leadership and team building skills and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.

  • Experience in product and people management (e.g., in an organizational unit with 15+ team members).

  • Proven experience with a significant P&L responsibility​.

  • Solid experience owning and delivering digital products​ throughout their entire lifecycle.

  • Effective leadership skills and proven ability to drive organizational change​.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions​.

  • Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the squads’ potential​.

  • Growth mindset and passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a global environment and transformational change

  • Experience in lean, agile, and people-centered design techniques to create and deliver inclusive technical and non-technical communications

  • Previous experience with manufacturing environments and digital culture is a plus

  • Experience in data science, AI/ML is a plus.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$243,500.00 - $383,300.00
