The Data Execution Senior Business analyst is a key member of the execution team responsible for delivering the Fintech Data product. This position leads the requirements and implementation of the systems that support strategic and commercial data functions (Messaging, Data Hub and APIs) for the Fintech division at Client. This position will provide project management, needs analysis, business analysis, and systems evaluation, and will have significant interaction with various teams in Fintech, Business Systems and throughout Client.
Leadership and Management
Create and manage a requirements set that aligns Product Strategy and technical design and approach in support of new data products. Examples of requirements include User Stories, Wireframes, Prototypes, etc.
Plan and deliver projects in alignment with the Fintech Data Strategy and Roadmap
Leverage exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak comfortably on business and technical subjects to the executive team
Ensure alignment and collaboration with Strategy and Systems Teams
Coordinate and lead the requirements, testing, implementation, documentation and training of business changes and new functionality.
Deliver in alignment with all elements of the Client documented SDLC.
Participate in all facets of the delivery process, using methods, processes and tools to plan, execute and monitor projects. Execute on the delivery plan for project objectives, deliverables and scope, including schedule, budget, resource plan, communication plan, change plan, and risk plan.
Strategic/Technical Vision and Client Service Orientation
Deliver solutions that align with Fintech strategy and contribute to the multi-year data technology roadmap
Execute on the delivery plan for the Data platform, including evolution of older applications into newer technologies that offer more opportunities for data commercialization and use of emerging technologies
Bachelor's degree; technology related area of study - MIS, computer science or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
Proven knowledge of financial services products.
Experience working on a project related to data management.
Strong project management skills (create and maintain documentation, create detailed project plan, manage task execution, perform change management) to effectively balance competing priorities during project life-cycles while adhering to specific deadlines. PMP certification a plus.
Proven ability to successfully deliver projects. Must have proven success in leading projects and demonstrated skills in building consensus spanning multiple departments and business units.
Prior hands-on experience working on development projects run using an Agile methodology in a corporate setting.
Hands-on experience working with one or more industry prototyping tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand user needs, and offer suggestions to improve their requests.
Strong people manager; able to build, lead and develop staff members
3-5 years of product management and project execution experience.
Ability to learn and adapt to multiple IT and Information Systems.
Ability to identify, recommend and implement solutions.
