EY Global Client Technology Communications and Engagement Leader in Boston, Massachusetts

The opportunity

Data and Technology is one of the four NextWave strategic pillars. Technology and data are changing everything – from how we create value to how we relate to each other and clients. We have accelerated our global investment in innovation and emerging technologies, and we are collaborating with alliance and ecosystem relationships. Client Technology, specifically, (CT) has a huge role in this by creating distinctive products, platforms, solutions and careers to deliver long-term value. It comprises around 4,700 people, half of whom are contractors.

We’re looking for a strategic, experienced professional to lead Client Technology communications and engagement. Working closely with EY’s Global Vice Chair Client Technology, Global Deputy Vice Chair, and the CT Operating Committee you will be a proven leader who is a passionate advocate for audience-centric communications. You will be a trusted business partner on the CT Executive Committee, advising on all aspects of communications and engagement.

Essential requirements of the role

You will be accountable for design and delivery of communications and engagement strategy, plans, and collateral for Client Technology. The strategy you deliver will:

  • Help all CT leaders talk about CT in the same way and tell a consistent story as to the value CT brings EY.

  • Help EY’s client servers understand the role of Client Technology in how EY delivers products, platforms and solutions to clients.

  • Work with Area and Regional CE teams to communicate and engage people with Regional Technology Hubs, GPS Tech Hub, G360 interaction model which are set up to help client serving teams integrate technology platforms and products into their client solutions.

  • Engage and inspire Client Technology people around CT’s vision and mission and FY22 priorities.

  • Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements

  • A strong understanding of EY’s business and ideally experience in technology communications.

  • A gifted storyteller with the ability to frame the technology agenda or solutions and proactively translate this into high-quality, audience-centric communications that inspire people to act with clear success measures.

  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate the professional competence and gravitas required to influence senior stakeholders.

  • A deep understanding of change communications and the ability to execute change comms.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, matrixed, professional services environment.

  • Excellent project/program management skills with experience in delivering multiple, multi-channel campaigns simultaneously.

  • Ability to lead and manage a high performing team.

  • Supervision Responsibilities

  • The role leads a team of 4 people

  • Other Requirements

  • Global travel will be required pending business needs.

  • Ability to work across timezones – will often need to work early mornings or evenings to accommodate global nature of the role

  • Experience requirements

  • 15+ years of communications experience in a complex environment, ideally in professional services

  • Minimum of 4 years at Associate Director level or equivalent

  • Proven communications experience working on major enterprise-wide programs

  • Outstanding people management skills

  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders

  • Expert level change communications experience

  • Experience managing cross-border relationships with team members, account teams and suppliers
