Oracle Hardware Lab Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Job Description
Oracle's Hardware Development Organization is looking for a service-driven and self-motivated Hardware Lab Manager. While collaborating with team members across multiple departments you will leverage your skills in managing lab equipment assets, hardware prototypes, supplies, and shipment/receiving to ensure high productivity for multiple engineering teams. You will have two to three technicians supporting you and reporting to you. If you like working on the latest technology in a fast past R&D environment then this captivating role is right for you.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Manage lab equipment, lab safety, calibration schedules, specification and acquisition of new equipment based on feedback from engineering teams
Manage inventory and stock of server components and prototypes
Run shipping and receiving for parts needed for server prototypes
Coordinate prototype system assembly and reconfigure systems per engineering request
Support engineering reworks during product builds
Organize lab clean-ups and manage recycling efforts
Work with facilities and campus networking team to coordinate basic lab infrastructure set up, such as installing of PDUs, network gears, network cabling, racking/de-racking of servers
Physically lift materials, packages less than 25lbs and able to operate a platform lift for heavy servers lifting above 25lbs up to 350lbs.
Manage two to three lab technician supporting above activities
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience as lab manager in an engineering lab
Three or more years of experience managing lab technicians
Able to build strong cross-functional partnerships with the hardware test engineers/managers, the program management team, facilities, and procurement
Highly motivated, well-rounded and a talent to handle a hybrid of a logistics, inventory, lab managing, and space planning
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adjust and prioritize in a dynamic environment to support engineering needs
Associate’s degree or Bachelor degree (preferred) in Engineering or related technical major
Authorized to work in the US

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $122,800 to $252,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $115,900 to $227,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $115,900 to $239,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Washington Pay Range: from $129,600 to $239,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
