This role is for a visionary that has the ability to identify what consumers or customers are missing in their lives, and able to facilitate the creation of products and services to help solve this. We are looking for candidates that live in the spirit of curiosity and “what could be” to apply for this executive role in the Black & Veatch CTO Office.

Makes enterprise-wide digital recommendations to drive the digital strategy.
Enables the research for various emerging trends and technologies.
Develops and communicates innovation approaches and processes.
Leverages different innovation approaches to achieve goals.
Demonstrates familiarity with innovation and experimentation processes.
Understands and translates complex and detailed technological concepts.
Identifies business implications of new trends, business models and technologies.
Identifies, coaches, mentors, and inspires other innovators within the organization.
Removes operational obstacles for other innovators.
Seeks new practices and approaches, and continually evolves processes.
Understands and leverages project management skills.
Participates in the creation of project plans, timelines, milestones, goals and ownership related to innovation activities.
Completes and implements projects on time, and ensures all tasks and projects are executed to company quality standards.
Analyzes pipeline of activities to support staff resourcing.
Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Experience during which innovation capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
A solid understanding of key digital technology trends and newer business models is required.
Knowledge of digital technologies like RPA, API-enabled integration, AI/ML, AR/VR, computer vision, IoT, blockchain is desirable.
Cloud capability knowledge of at least two of: Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, Google Cloud is preferred.
Awareness of security and privacy concerns is required.
Technologist knowledge of Web Applications, REST APIs, CMS, CRM, ERP, web analytics, Marketing analytics, DAM, etc. is suggested.
Experience in EPC/ENC industry pertaining to digital transformation is a significant plus.
Experience facilitating the building, deploying and supporting of mission critical applications is desirable.
Experience in building and supporting business cases is required.
Experience interacting with senior leaders and executives is required.
Education: Bachelor's degree. Business, Technology or Computer Science and MBA preferred.
Experience: 12+ years of experience.
