Description Job Title: Systems Specialist - IAM Role Engineer

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 3+ month contract w/ possible extension or FTE


• Analyze existing access to critical information and data and create bottom-up access models and top-down org models with HR data

• Create, revise and/or maintain role-based access control documentation for business walk-throughs and operational processes

• Conduct role-modeling sessions with the business to review role mining results and identify groups of users that should have the same suite of access to critical information and data

• Design roles with required access and permitted access, towards enabling a self-service model

• Identify Segregation of Duties and create policies in IdentityIQ to enforce

• Define and create business roles (typically defined by HR attributes) and IT/access roles in IIQ

• Coordinate business change from existing provisioning process to new model in IIQ controlled by roles

• Meet with business and infrastructure resources to expand use of birth-right roles in IIQ to enable base-access for resources on start date


• 3+ years experience with Sailpoint IdentityIQ strongly preferred, or 3+ years with an equivalent Access Governance/Access Management tool

• Industry IAM experience incl. familiarity with IAM concepts e.g. SOX, joiner/mover/leaver, SOD, access vs. entitlements

• Experience with RBAC at a large corporation highly recommended, esp. role-mining experience

• Bachelor's degree and/ five years of professional experience in technology or information risk

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, esp. Excel to retriever/analyze/pivot data

• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and business functions

• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication (oral and written) skills to work with technical and non-technical audiences
