IBM IBM Cloud Security Sales Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts

Your Role and Responsibilities

•Lead IBM Cloud security related discussions with customer

•Provide guidance on security architecture, practices & solutions to help business units build & deliver solution improvements

•Understand IBM Cloud security capabilities across the board and present them to the client and help them understand how the capabilities solve their security and compliance requirements

•Design and contribute to security architecture processes that enable the enterprise to develop and implement secure solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with the business, technology, and threat drivers

•Meet clients F2F or other means and explain IBM Cloud capabilities, its advantages and differentiation

•Conduct architecture reviews, use case solutions, RFP/RFI questionnaires, solution reviews, and make corrections when needed

•Quickly engage appropriate technical and OM resources to address specific client requirements that may demand additional functionality or service SMEs

•Creation of reusable presentations, white papers, and demos

•Help teams to map IBM Public Cloud controls to client control sets

•Creation of reusable presentations, white papers, and demos

•Conduct technological and competitive analyses and research

•Talk to clients about Devsecops and its impact in transformation

Communication : Demonstrates subject matter expertise about the presentation topic and is able to communicate to engineers and executive team

Leadership: Highly motivated, self driven individual who works to meet customer expectations and achieve results

Technical : Keeps current on industry practices, regulations, technology, etc, and demonstrates technical knowledge in area of responsibility

Interpersonal Skills : Builds networks / bridges with internal and external counterparts

Customer Orientation : Provides products and services that meet or exceed the needs and requirements of internal and external customers

Expertise

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

•5+ years experience with Cloud security architecture, Cloud operations and security practices, specifically encryption, key management, logging, IAM

•3+ years experience in understand and interpret legal and regulatory requirements related to cloud security and compliance, and develop and implement appropriate processes to achieve and maintain compliance and reduce risk

•2+ years customer-facing experience to engage on discussions related to security requirements, and how they are addressed

•Experience with cloud compliance tools; for example: Security Monitoring & Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Infrastructure / Network / Endpoint / Data Security / IAM

•Strong understanding of Networking and Security technologies: SIEM, IDS /IPS, vulnerability management, end-point protection, breach detection and threat intelligence.

•Experienced in leveraging DevOps tools to build, harden, maintain and instrument a comprehensive cloud-based security orchestration platform to be consumed in product CI/CD pipelines.

•Working knowledge of NIST SP 800 series and ISO 27000 series security frameworks

Desirable

•Financial Services industry expertise

•Expertise in system configuration, especially privileged access controls, and system level firewall

•Knowledge of competitive cloud security offerings and how it compares with IBM offerings

•Working in a challenging production environment

• Administering systems that are internet facing

•Ability to stand firm on issues yet be flexible and creative when working with customers to find effective solutions

•1+ year experience with container-based architectures and implementations such as Kubernetes

•Understanding of compliance requirements for HIPAA, FFIEC, FISMA/FedRAMP, and PCI.

•Experience with the IBM Cloud Platform information security and compliance tools

•Security certifications – CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, GIAC
