At Regions, the Information Technology Strategy and Innovation Manager drives operating model changes, strategic initiatives, innovation, and other changes that impact various facets of technology, people, processes, and culture at Regions. Additionally, this position supports business leaders and stakeholders in building alignment and strategically driving innovation that delivers customer value, anticipates customer needs, and creates positive disruption to internal processes.
Manages and leads a group of analysts performing research on industry trends and innovation within Banking, Technology, and Operations
Creates positive disruption, innovation, challenges to the status quo, and new revenue opportunities
Capitalizes on strategic opportunities that leverage existing and new programs, projects, and initiatives to create additional customer value or revenue opportunities
Designs and establishes an Information Technology (IT) strategy framework with a repeatable method to mature initiatives and achieve sustainable success
Contributes to the design and establishment of a transparent innovation process within the Bank
Partners with senior leaders and the enterprise strategy office to build technology vision and actionable roadmaps that align business and enterprise strategy
Creates strategic focus on core transformation that revamps internal processes for cost saving, enhanced efficiency, and improved stakeholder experience
Partners with Application Development and IT Testing teams to ensure the presence of a well-defined process for executing on innovative ideas
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Eight (8) years of banking, management consulting, technology, or related experience, of which two (2) years in a supervisory/management capacity
Master’s degree in related field
Experience in the financial services industry

Ability to manage complexity and navigate through ambiguity
Ability to partner within and across departments to achieve transformational goals
Analytical mindset with the ability to deploy key strategies
Deep understanding of various aspects of banking and technology
High aptitude for learning new concepts
Natural leader with the ability to develop the future state vision for the organization and drive he execution of initiatives required to achieve the vision
Recognized as a visionary thinker with the ability to develop novel ideas
Strong change manager with the ability to influence associates at all levels
Strong understanding or experience in Technology concepts (e.g. Cloud, Software Development Lifecycle/SDLC)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership presence

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
