Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is designed to provide critical support to help defend IBM’s security posture from threats against Intellectual Property theft and corporate espionage campaigns.
Working alongside with the various IBM Investigation Teams (e.g. Internal Audit, HR, Trust and Compliance, Procurement, CSIRT) to proactively identify patterns and trends in IBM internal investigations and produce actionable threat intelligence to inform security controls and reduce exposure to theft of company IP, trade secrets and customer/client data.
Key initiatives include:
Working closely with various IBM teams to identify adversarial trends in tools, technologies and methodologies to aid future investigations and uplift control posture
Conduct post-investigation analysis to identify behaviours, actor attributes, root cause, and develop signatures to aid future detection
Provide all-source intelligence support to critical ongoing investigations
Perform the objective evaluation of intelligence and data related to who may pose an insider threat
Conduct tactical threat analysis and provide clear and concise reports and briefs to a wide range of internal IBM management
Provide analytic support for a wide range of complex and sensitive analysis and production tasks intended to identify, neutralize, or influence the activities of insiders adversely affecting IBM
Collaborate and interact with behavioral and social science experts to conduct research and analysis;
Create strategic over the horizon threat assessments, to help identify and mitigate the top threats to IBM
Define critical intelligence topics and initiate comprehensive or unique research efforts on topics as related to extensive or speculative analytical projects;
Direct counterintelligence operations to identify vulnerabilities and protect IBM
Forecast intelligence gaps and initiate development of comprehensive collection plans to address these gaps
Assist in the development of administrative and organizational policies and procedures
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years experience in insider threat analysis - not just identification
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Certification in insider threat/risk
