Position summary:

The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about IT infrastructure and cybersecurity as it relates to R&D and analytical instrumentation used in laboratories by our customers. The IT leader in this role contributes to the development and execution of strategy, and provides leadership for a staff of senior IT managers and senior business analysts. The IT leader works with the business unit and divisional leadership to enable strong business alignment and interpersonal efficiency. Responsibilities include developing and implementing innovative standard methodologies and IT process models that align with new product introductions (NPI), customer requirements for instrument installations, as well as providing IT mentorship and support for commercial and operational teams across the business. The IT Director operates as the single point of contact and leader to VP/GM’s, ensuring we deliver on business priorities and goals. Implementing effective and efficient communications across IT, business PAC/NPI, PMO and Operations. The role supports an IT operating model that uses existing IT and Business processes, streamlines the in-take and prioritization processes and provides oversight and governance to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:

Influence:

  • Be an authority and champion for innovating and implementing technical solutions, tools and processes that increase the quality, value and efficiency of the IT organization

  • Provide clear ownership, executive level communication and organizational transformation using PPI business system, Data Science and 4i values.

  • Solicit inputs from business and IT leaders and focus on the highest priorities to ensure the engagement based on business readiness and strategic priority.

  • Demonstrate leadership and experience in IT infrastructure (compute, storage, automation) and cybersecurity as it relates to instrument software and hardware.

  • Work with customers and our commercial team in sales support and tiered critical issue resolution from our global support teams.

  • Build an innovative team culture passionate about meeting commitments with a high standard of quality and business responsiveness

  • Work closely with Genetic Sciences teams to ensure alignment of priorities across the project portfolio and non-project responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years in dynamic IT leadership roles building global expertise in business relationship management, IT strategy and solution delivery

  • IT experience working in support of a molecular diagnostics company

  • Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure support and cybersecurity program execution

  • Confirmed foundation in cybersecurity, TCP/IP and network architecture.

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal and organizational influence skills

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of executives and leaders

  • BS Required, MS or MBA preferred
