We have an opportunity for an energetic individual with strong communication, documentation and organizational skills on our Problem Management team. The 20 person team is part of Network Hosting Services which supports over 19,000 server devices for Optum. The individual in this role must have the ability and desire to interact with a large technically-able group of people to provide accurate analysis, problem resolution, documentation and coordination services. Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide support for the below enterprise environments while maintaining stability (and no downtime)-Infoblox -DNS -DHCP-IPAM

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Incident Prevention

  • Work closely with other internal team members and/or vendors on solutions

  • Provide proactive Problem Management and Trend Identification

  • Serve as SME to Business Support Teams and management

  • Participate in high priority war rooms as needed

  • Drive continuous process improvements

  • Cross train on different technology products to become more versatile-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Proven organizational skills-Demonstrated success working within a collaborative team environment-Ability to multi-task and sense of urgency -Detail orientation

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM systems

  • Support experience with DNS in a corporate environment under Unix / Linux

  • Experience with Nokia / Lucent VitalQIP

  • Experience working in an ITIL environment

  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals (ie, LAN/WAN)

  • Scripting experiences using C#, Powershell, bash shell, sed/awk, Perl, Python, C or other tool

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Infoblox formal training or certification

  • Red Hat Linux knowledge

  • Windows server administration experience
