Kforce IT Project Manager II in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an IT Project Manager II. Summary:Reporting to the IS&T PMO Program Director, the Project Manager/Project Analyst will have a role in both large and small projects across the organization. These projects are specifically focused on the student services domain within the university. In large projects, the Project Manager/Project Analyst is responsible for supporting the creation and management of necessary project management deliverables to enable project participants to focus on the key, strategic elements that will make projects successful. The person in the Project Manager/Project Analyst position may also be responsible for managing smaller projects through the full project lifecycle. In the project manager role, the Project Manager/Project Analyst manages the project participants and is accountable for delivering to committed scope, on-time, and within budget. Responsibilities: * The IT Project Manager II assists the Program Manager and Client Lead to prioritize requirements and resolves conflicting input from client participants * Provides updates to the Project Manager in regards to client project tasks and deliverables * Plans the user acceptance testing * Coordinates and manages the user acceptance testing with the client participants, and escalates issues/concerns to the Client Lead * Assists in documenting UAT test cases and results to comply with internal audit policies * IT Project Manager II will be assisting Project Managers in updating resource task completion and effort estimation, updating both project plans and resource allocations when necessary * Working with Client Lead and Project Managers, update and organize Program and Project SharePoint and other Project Web sites based on the PMO Project Lifecycle process * Establishes project scope and creates project brief * The IT Project Manager II reports on the status of projects to the project sponsors * B.A./B.S. required * One to three years of related experience desired * IT project experience and solid understanding of full SDLC required * Candidate must have strong communication, interpersonal and team leadership skills Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
