JVT Advisors IT Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

We are looking for an IT Project Manager who will be responsible for support and training of custom and vendor technology solutions and programs of service, and for promoting technology adoption throughout the user community. Acting as a liaison between the user community and Information Technology, as well as vendors providing IT-related product and project management services.


  • Leads others in supporting and executing strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives that support mission and organizational goals

  • Contributing member of the Information Technology Team, and works in an ongoing capacity to further the usage and adoption of software and programs of service

  • Manages multiple large, enterprise-wide projects using standard project management tools and methodology

  • Leads project meetings with appropriate content related to project progress, risks/issues & impacts, mitigations and any other items that require decisions and action

  • Maintains all project artifacts (including charter, project plan/WBS, decision log, risks/issues, executive summary/status report, agendas/minutes, RACI support document) and distributes as needed to project team and all stakeholders on a timely basis

  • Conducts project lessons learned/after action session(s) and creates a recommendations report that identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements to promote continual process improvement

  • Contributes to roadmap planning and execution for applications and related “add-on” software components, and their relevant upgrades, backups, and other system administrator activities

  • Recommends design and workflow improvements based on knowledge of software and clinic, practice, and research operations


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years project management in a healthcare organization managing all aspects of project development and execution

  • 6+ years healthcare IT end user support and training for financial accounting (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets) and supply chain systems, preferably in an ambulatory setting

  • 3+years EHR or Practice Management system end user support and/or integration with financials or other enterprise systems

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • ITIL training or certification preferred

  • Infor Lawson Financials & Supply Chain certification/training preferred

  • Cerner Ambulatory EHR & Practice Management certification/training preferred

  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile and other software development methodologies

  • Expert understanding and execution of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Discipline (integration, scope, time, quality, human resources, communications, risk management, procurement) and project life cycle

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)
