Are you intrigued by the power of ML and AI to uncover the hidden signals in the noise of big data? We are looking for a designer who leads with empathy. Someone who brings your partners in engineering and PM together towards a common vision. Someone who is comfortable with ambiguous projects exploring problems that are technically challenging and require a deep understanding of humans. And someone who can help bring the power of new technologies to analytic experiences, making them easy to use and understand for people who don’t have a stats or data science degree.

You will be most successful if you have led designs for a first product launch and have experience designing machine learning and other data modelling experiences.

Some of the things you'll be doing include…

  • Be the lead designer on projects from start to finish.

  • Create user journeys, wireframes, detailed UX flows, and pixel perfect screens.

  • Create prototypes that show full experiences and micro interactions.

  • Work closely with user research, product management, and engineering.

  • Build consensus and balance different priorities while dealing with ambiguity.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our users.

  • Develop a point of view on where the area you are working on should go and how that relates to the rest of the portfolio.

  • Effectively communicate your ideas to a range of stakeholders and audiences through presentation and storytelling.

Who you are… A good listener and coach who can build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders. You know when to ask questions, which questions to ask, and how to listen with intent to learn.

  • Have a strong UX design portfolio of work that demonstrates 7+ years of shipping software products, including designs for a first version release of a product.

  • Demonstrated the ability to work on complicated products and ability to simplify without oversimplifying.

  • Have a background in HCI, Design, or a related field. You know the theory behind interaction design and you have experience using design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Framer, Adobe XD, InVision) to translate ideas into working products.

  • Are interested in how people get access to data, curate data, understand data, and communicate through data.

  • Have experience designing machine learning experiences to augment human decision making.
