AECOM Leadership Development Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Leadership Development Program Manager to support advancement of leadership programming at AECOM. There’s a lot to this opportunity and we’re looking for someone jump in and catch up fast. The role will implement, manage and oversee the successful execution of global leadership programs including design and management of participant experience, stakeholder management and vendor management. This role provides program management governance, mitigates program related risk, and will analyze/resolve underachieving outcomes or program challenges. The successful individual must be comfortable working with ambiguity as the program is defined and designed, and demonstrate a high level of accountability and autonomy to successfully deliver on program outcomes in a small and agile team.

This role can be in an AECOM office or work virtually from a variety of locations in North America or Europe.

Program Management

This role will work under the direction of the Global VP of Talent to:

  • Create and manage the overall project to design and develop leadership programming

  • Manage and maintain vendor relationships

  • Manage and maintain project plan

  • Manage and maintain program budget

  • Maintain alignment with global leadership development strategy to ensure a progressive employee career development journey

  • Oversee all logistics preparation including creating a unique experience for facilitators, speakers, participants

  • Design and develop materials including pre-work, course evaluations, communications, program engagement strategies and learning sustainability

  • Leverage and advance the use of technology enablement to advance learning as an organization

  • Collect, analyze and report metrics & tracking for key learning investments

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities based on evaluations and After-Action Reviews, modifying learning approach as appropriate

Design & Development

  • Work with executive education partner to design and develop leading edge leader programming:

  • Applying principles of adult learning, learning styles, learner – focused design, and sustainability processes to program design

  • Create practical facilitator and participant guides, presentations, job aids, processes, systems, and tools for face to face and virtual delivery

  • Research best practices and feasibility of various learning modalities to use before/during/after sessions

  • Support and align with broader talent management programming including regional leadership development and succession

  • This role must work successfully in a matrixed organization.

  • Works under limited supervision in several aspects of the work.

Level specific responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies for Human Resources.

  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.

  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.

  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

  • May have budget responsibilities.

  • Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.

  • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.

  • In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and does not have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 8 years of relevant program management experience in a talent development program or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Learning technology expert, ability to learn and manage LMS and content curation platforms

  • Curriculum and learning resources design software

  • Ability to cultivate relationships through collaborative work environment

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and executive stakeholder management

  • Strong executive presence and proven confidence working with highest ranking leaders in an organization

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Strong computer and analytical skills; proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
