KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Advisory Data Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the execution and management of projects within the Advisory Data Organization (ADO) Data Handling and Governance program including conducting the Advisory portion of the firm's annual Privacy Self-Assessment. This includes the evaluation of Advisory applications and engagement deliverables to assess the effectiveness of the controls, practices and procedures related to the collection, use, storage, and sharing of PII, as well as documentation of process gaps and mitigation and remediation plans.

  • Assess engagement team's client deliverables and work quality with regard to the firm's information protection and data handling policies and procedures, and client contractual obligations, by serving as an Advisory information protection/data handling subject matter expert and supplementary reviewer during the ongoing firmwide Quality Performance Review program (QPR).

  • Coordinate and facilitate in key working groups with data risk and governance stakeholders across the firm such as IT policy teams, Risk Management, Office of General Counsel, Privacy Office, Digital Security Group and the Advisory Technology Organization (ATO); work collaboratively with and align ADO initiatives with enterprise data governance initiatives.

  • Represent the Advisory Data Organization requirements in the firm wide Data Governance Working Group.

  • Contribute to the definition and development of information protection and data handling tools, frameworks, operating models and processes to enable efficiencies and reduce risk across Advisory engagement and data handling activities.

  • Identify opportunities for the creation of new data handling and information protection policies and assist in integrating and facilitating the firm's information protection and data handling protocols, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three related management experience in data governance processes and practices

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University

  • Experience in enterprise-wide data management, specifically the development, administration, and operational compliance monitoring of data policies and standards, knowledge of data governance including data privacy and data quality controls, some information system or risk / audit compliance background

  • Prior experience and proven track record in effective project management, stakeholder and team communication (collaboratively working with/influencing a diverse set of stakeholders to drive common outcome and success), budgeting and program measurement, compliance and reporting

  • Experience supporting or delivering projects within the data supply chain (e.g. sourcing, preparing, reporting, managing) or with determining business objectives for data and analytics initiatives, preferably in or related to consulting; ability to ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization; and able to address emerging opportunities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to an audience, promote collaboration and teamwork, and assist engagement teams/users with data handling requirements and questions

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for purposes such as training and internal meetings or events; due to COVID 19, the safety and well-being of our people is the critical factor
