Zebra Technologies Manager Release & Deployment Engineering in Boston, Massachusetts

The Senior Release Manager will lead the release function for AI SaaS product and platform. This role will partner with the Product & Platform Engineering, AI development, Infrastructure, and customer-facing teams to plan and execute software releases. Responsibilities: + Work with our engineering and AI teams to understand the upgrades, bug fixes, and roadmaps. + Work with customer-facing teams to understand the incoming need for bug fixes, patches, and functionalities requests. + Understand dependencies across various client environments and maintain an active release management calendar. Most importantly, keep everyone on the same page. + Collaboratively resolve conflicting priorities to ensure the client and internal environments are efficient and reliable. + Ensure alignment across all stakeholders on the release criteria, track SLAs, and ensure proper quality gates are in place + Identify roadblocks before they occur and develop mitigation plans. + Communicate the impact of feature or schedule changes to the concerned teams. + Document and maintain release repository, release notifications, and approvals. + Continuously evaluate and identify technical and process improvement opportunities, and work with cross-functional teams to implement. + Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to stakeholders. Qualifications: Minimum Education: + Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent. + 8+ years of release management experience + Experience with SaaS release management Preferred: + Strong project and program management skills. + Strong understanding of cloud-based application development, CI/CD, code versioning, and agile development processes. + Experience with one or more containerized (Kubernetes) applications, public cloud, and AI/ML technologies is a plus. + Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. + Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in different time zones. + Proficient in the use of issues tracking tools like JIRA Come join the herd!
