Manager – SaaS GTM
VMware PMM's are business owners who are responsible for supporting the go-to-market initiatives for a product. This role is part of a diverse, world-class team and is responsible for building the awareness and adoption of solutions, SaaS offerings, and products. We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our team that is driving transformative marketing initiatives related to our SaaS and Subscription business.
Key responsibilities as PMM in CMBU include the following:
Execute GTM strategy for new products working closely with pricing strategy team, Marketing teams within the BU
Oversee end-to-end execution of BU initiatives by leading project teams, and building project plans, success metrics and ROI measurements
Perform analysis and use results to help in business acceleration initiatives such as pipeline inspection, channel deal volume, customer adoption and consumption.
Drive weekly meetings to update status, and issues and create presentations for BU leadership consumption.
Influence a cross-functional team that spans marketing, engineering, and sales at VMware to align on different Cloud Management offerings and how they can best be used to meet customer needs.
Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering, and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations.
Liaison with Marketing teams to develop insights on the performance of marketing campaigns related to Learn-Try-Buy journey.
Work with IT and various data teams to create custom tools, dashboards, and reports.
Liaison with Field Sales Managers to understand the gaps in the current processes, that introduce difficulties for the sales teams.
Partner with product management, engineering, operations, and customer success teams to identify the gaps in customer needs.
4-6 years of experience in the software or cloud technology industry
Excellent presentation, and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations.
Self-starter, and proven team player in a high pace and outcome-driven environment
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects with minimal guidance
Open to learn new concepts with demonstrated ability to learn business processes quickly
Strong attention to details and ability to translate high-level business objectives into actions
Must possess a good understanding of SaaS and Cloud basics
Strong bias for action, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity
BA/BS or equivalent required; MBA or MS degree in quantitative disciplines strongly preferred
This job may require the candidate to travel and/or work from a facility that requires full vaccination prior to entry.
