IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking to hire a Next Generation Supply Chain - JDA Technical Managing Consultant to join our consulting team - a tremendous opportunity to work with some of the world's most essential companies.

The JDA Technical Managing Consultant will develop and deliver solutions that leverage JDA technologies to help solve our client's business challenges as they relate to strategic supply chain design, improved planning and execution systems, and optimizing customer service levels, inventory, assets and operational costs. The Consultant will primarily work across consumer products and retail industries.


  • Participate in technical architecture aspects related to project

  • Co-lead technical design, development and implementation efforts for JDA manufacturing planning solutions for clients

  • Participate in client design sessions to define requirements

  • Lead technical requirements definition

  • Deliver work streams for supply chain planning client projects including architecture, infrastructure (sizing, performance, security), integration, data cleansing, reporting, testing, data conversion, deployment

  • Develop, manage and deliver project deliverables such as technical architecture, technical design specifications, interfaces, test strategy, migration scripts, reporting architecture and other related documents

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 4 years of experience in the technical design and implementation of JDA solutions: Demand and 360, Collaborate, Demand Classification, Dynamic Demand Response, Fulfillment, Factory Planning & Sequencing on the SCPO platform, including technical architecture and design sessions, defining technical requirements, configuration, testing, data conversion and migration efforts

  • At least 4 years of experience working with a joint client and consulting technical team, providing supervision and oversight for all technical design and implementation efforts

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, queries and reporting

  • Experience working in one or more of the following industries: Retail, Consumer Products, Grocery, Food, Manufacturing, Electronics, Industrial Products, Medical Devices / Pharma, Aerospace

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience in one of the following Operating Systems technologies: UNIX (HP UX, AIX, Linux), Windows

  • Experience in programming in one or more of the following: PL/SQL, SQL, C, Javascript, VBScript, HTML

  • Experience in one or more of the following Database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access

  • Experience in Enterprise Software to include SAP ECC - PP & MM or SAP to JDA integration
