The Platform Development Program Manager will join the Medicrea leadership team reporting into the Senior Corporate Development Director. This position will be responsible for stewarding multiple concurrent platform development programs, working closely with both the RD, commercial, and clinical operations groups. These programs will be primarily focused on developing and expanding the UNiD software platform (with a focus on data AI technologies) and the UNiD concierge planning service (including the operationalizing of new data processing service lines). There will also be programs in strategy development, market development, strategic partnership development, pilot program development, and others. These programs encompass the full range of Medicreas planned technology and business model innovation for all areas adjacent outside of implants.

There are several millions of dollars of allocated AOP budget for these programs for FY22 that the candidate will oversee. There will be a wide range of accelerated leadership opportunities and opportunities to develop competencies across a range of functional and content areas.

The candidate will have two primary responsibilities: Building and aligning.

Building: Candidate will drive requirements gathering and top level system design, activating and oversee software vendors, plan and schedule work, coordinate with Medicrea RD, engage project management and change management resources as necessary, work with data processing departments to deploy new software technology and new SOP, and other tasks required to develop and deploy new technology and business model innovation via Medicreas UNiD platform.

Aligning: Candidate will efficiently engage with other Medtronic functions, such as IT, quality, regulatory, compliance, and others to assure the coordination, alignment, and visibility with cross functional teams for all development programs.

Day in the life:

Stewardship of a portfolio of programs, with accountability to program owners.

Achievement of aggressive release schedules for a range of new software technology, service line innovation, and business enablement programs to support Medicreas aggressive growth and to expand the current first mover advantage.

Delivering program outcomes wherein there is efficient and effective alignment and coordination with cross functional teams and stakeholders, and efficient use of cross functional resources in the accomplishment of program milestones

Actual day-to-day responsibilities will be highly variable

Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

Manages the development and implementation process of a companys products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.

Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.

Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years experience

Nice to Have

Relevant prior experience in program and project management

Track record of delivery of successful business outcomes

Willingness to work in an unstructured environment where aggressive problem solving and hard work is required for success.

Prior experience driving software development

Prior knowledge of Medtronic processes, functions, and (ideally) people within the CST functional teams
