Critical to E360’s success is the design, build, and run of its infrastructure. Microsoft business teams depend on E360 to enable the fabric to connect, host, and support enterprise services. Our hybrid networking designed solutions leverage both hardware and software networking appliances and architectures to create environments that have “corporate context” where necessary to ensure the safe operation of corporate resources in the Cloud. This ensures a secure, reliable, modern, scalable, and readily available environment for Microsoft IT admins, info workers, and developers.E360 builds and operates the cloud infrastructure hosting critical services and applications. Responsibilities

As a Principal PM Manager , you will:

  • This PM Manager in E360 will be responsible for leading a team of Program Managers that help define the strategy, engineering scenarios, and deliverables for the delivery teams. This Manager will also be a leader in transforming the delivery teams and broader org to design, develop and implement enterprise-wide solutions across our portfolio in an agile way leveraging innovative and modern architecture.

  • Accountable for high quality, compliant end to end service offerings, working with your engineering leads and peers to ensure integrity of your service area and ability to deliver on programmatic goals.

  • Own the vision and strategy for your service area, utilizing well-defined and meaningful OKR’s that clearly measure impact. Develop semester plans aligned to your roadmaps and North Star objectives.

  • Own and drive simplification and automation to the programs and services you operate

  • Identify requirements for program change from policy stakeholders, assess feasibility to deliver, create a working Plan of Record/roadmap items for enhancements/change, drive change control, proactively identify and manage risks and issues, strong focus on escalation management/future mitigation, triage, cross group coordination and milestone management.

  • Build, develop and maintain highly collaborative and effective working relationships with key stakeholders and other operational partners to facilitate proactive planning, agreement on cross group delivery plan of record, smooth communication and risk/issue tracking and resolution.

  • Define and execute to Service Level Agreement’s (SLA’s) for your program, understanding how changes upstream or downstream of your programmatic operational processes will impact overall payout SLA. Work with your peers and stakeholders where changes need to be made to ensure delivery to Service Level Agreement’s (SLA’s).

  • Coach other PMs to be customer-focused, striving hard to understand the true problems that we need to solve for Microsoft, articulate what a successful solution looks like, write excellent specs that engineering can execute on to deliver on staged solutions, and obsess about adoption and usage of our solutions.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience, and skills:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • 5+ years of experience in program management working with multiple stakeholders and initiatives

  • 3+ years of leadership and/or people management experience.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field, or alternative educations, skills, and/or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Qualifiactions:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing programs, projects and new initiatives in live-site service environments (Cloud is a big plus) .

  • Ability to influence senior leadership across organizations and gain consensus by combination of leadership and team collaboration

  • Manage a mixture of stakeholders, lead live services through change with ability to work with diverse mix of service teams consisting of diverse range of people with inclusion as a priority.

  • CSM, Agile-ACP, or PMP certification

  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher cloud certification

  • IT Infrastructure certifications (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, EMC)

  • Command of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
