Microsoft Corporation Principal PM Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The Microsoft 365 Growth + Experiences team is looking for a leader with strong collaboration and management experience to lead a service-based group for the FastTrack Process Quality team.

The Process Quality team measures and observes customer, partner and employee impact within the FastTrack organization, and provides data-driven insights to our stakeholders to influence positive change. The FastTrack organization is responsible for accelerating customer deployment of Microsoft cloud solutions, helping the customer realize business value sooner.

A successful candidate would be a fast learner, have experience in strategic planning, critical thinking and organizational problem-solving skills, cross organizational collaboration competencies with a demonstrated history of driving cross-organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

As the lead for Process Quality, you will manage a team of employees and analyst vendors to uncover key insights and drive measurable improvements to the FastTrack process. This lead role will require strong and collaborative working relationships with internal Engineering and Delivery teams as well as Partner organizations.

You will establish a ROB with internal stakeholders to share and prioritize recommended changes to the FastTrack playbook and process.

Oversee a managed service contract and the team conducting quality assessments of the FastTrack process and delivery teams/customer meetings to ensure the assessment metrics and goals are met per the Quality Program plan.

Analyze and identify systemic areas for improvement across people, process and technology in delivering the FastTrack benefit to customers and produce findings based on trends in the results. Coordinate and organize findings with the Quality team to turn those findings into actionable insights that drive process improvements.

Lead the team to design and implement “continuous improvement” processes within the Quality program aimed at making the program more effective and efficient in delivering results. Interpret FastTrack Quality Program data and generate presentations for senior engineering executive reports, meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Competency to lead a team, drive new processes and influence outside your authority

  • 7+ years experience of program management or product management experience, and experience in management, consulting, strategy, business planning, program management or marketing in the technology sector

  • Proven ability to create organizational momentum around new ideas and initiatives

  • Demonstrated passion for and ability to drive improvements in end-to-end customer experiences

  • Strong leadership, organizational agility, ability to impact and influence senior level leaders across the company; Ability to rapidly gain/build trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful technical fulfillment of business requirements

  • Project management skills, ability to develop and execute processes that facilitate collaboration, leadership team effectiveness and impact

  • Ability to analyze operational data to make informed strategic decisions

  • Forward thinking and strategic, yet pragmatic and operationally savvy, with a commitment to a job well done
