We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Product Manager to join our Education & Awareness team within the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Organization. As a Principal Product Manager, you will define and track success criteria, leading a cross-functional virtual team to develop the training needed, monitoring completion, and reporting on results both internally and to meet compliance requirements. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards (e.g. the EU’s NIS2 directive) associated with security training and awareness, identifying specialist training requirements and needs (e.g. per the SFI), and developing comprehensive training plans with internal partner providers.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience and expertise in regulatory compliance, adult learning and education, and cybersecurity training to ensure we are meeting all compliance and role-based security training needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in program management, compliance, training, the ability to influence of cross-functional teams, and have a proven track record of driving successful cross-company programs and initiatives for a global workforce end-to-end.

Responsibilities
Develop and get alignment within the CISO Organization, across Microsoft Security, and in partnership with CELA (Corporate, External, & Legal Affairs), a vision, strategy, and plan for Microsoft to meet all regulatory compliance requirements and specialist cybersecurity training needs for the Secure Future Initiative.
Ensure buy-in and adoption of the new program and established requirements with senior leadership across the enterprise.
Lead a virtual team of training leads across the company, ensuring all requirements are understood and can be met in the development and delivery of specialized training.
Manage complex programs and problem solve as challenges arise, ensuring that all solutions are creative, people-focused, and align with organizational goals and objectives.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance specialist capabilities and knowledge.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or engineering leadership in one or more of the follow areas: software development, security architecture, engineering, cybersecurity
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of and ability to use technology-driven practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of information to make informed data-driven business decisions.
Experience with corporate training and cultural change.
Expertise in program management, with a focus on compliance and training.
Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements in cybersecurity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of successfully achieving buy-in and leading large-scale, enterprise-wide projects and programs.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in compliance, adult learning and training, and program management.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to influence without direct authority
MBA or advanced degree
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
