Kforce Principal Product Owner in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Product Owner in Boston, MA.Essential Duties:The Principal Product Owner is responsible for conveying the vision of what business processes need to be built or enhanced via various technology applications to the scrum team. They will leverage a deep understanding of the business and serve as a liaison between business groups, R&D, and IT architecture and development teams.This role will primarily be centered around software license management, software entitlement management, and software license fulfillment. This role will be a core member of the Products and Licensing Product Line. This role will work with the business to shape demand for the product line, clarify requirements, review recommendations, and answer questions to facilitate design and delivery of license management solutions. You will be part of the Business Product Management team within IT. This will involve directly working with members of the license management, IT architecture, IT development, product management, finance, field operations, and R&D teams to collaborate on system transformations, improvements, and processes. Day-To-Day / Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discussions with business groups to help stakeholders prioritize and define their needs

  • Build consensus among stakeholders to prioritize, validate, and finalize the requirements

  • Translate product line needs into quantifiable business requirements

  • Define current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) scenarios (processes, models, use cases, user stories, plans, and solutions)

  • Work with the product line scrum team to ensure the vision, future state, and requirements are properly translated into user stories and understood

  • Communicate, report, and present on the status of sprints and timelines to interested parties proactively

  • Document issues thoroughly, maintain current status, and escalate issues appropriately

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's a plus

  • 5 years of experience as a product owner or equivalent role

  • 5 years of experience with enterprise CRM platforms, SFDC and Oracle EBS experience preferred

  • Experience with software licensing, software asset management, SaaS management

  • Fluent in requirements lifecycle management

  • Capability to understand and analyze complex business processes and problems

  • Capability to design, communicate, and influence future states and processes

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Strong business savvy and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
