Innovative opportunity to be a part of a highly talented BCBSMA team responsible for enabling Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics. We're looking for a leader in our team to work closely with Business Leaders, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to own end-to-end product ownership and define the solutions to improve our company’s ability to create and scale data-driven insights.

As a Technical Product Manager at BCBSMA, you will own defining the strategy and core value proposition, as well as delivering product roadmaps to expand our ability to deliver data and insights more efficiently for stakeholders across the organization. You will report to the Senior Director of Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics and work with various business and technology teams to identify and define opportunities to invest, drive product strategy, articulate the vision, and prioritize the roadmap and features. You will own defining and delivering new platform capabilities in collaboration with enterprise Data Science and Engineering teams. You will also determine program success criteria, goals, and metrics.

From day 1, you will be responsible for a large product and have the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions to drive creative solutions. You will also roll up your sleeves and work directly with engineering teams and data analysts/scientists to help build and operate the features and services that you have defined. This role is inherently cross-functional, and you should be an effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are expected to dive deep into the technology from both a product and customer perspective.

You should be a problem solver who is passionate about data and analytics and enjoys working with data and engineering teams collaboratively. You should be somebody who is passionate about leading programs that have both broad influence and unique technical challenges to solve, and equally comfortable interacting with business units on their business needs. This role requires great technical expertise and ability to dive deep into data and understand the challenges and think big about possible solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience leading delivery across data science and engineering disciplines, and an established track record of delivering large complex programs as well as effectively influencing up and across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of multiple products simultaneously

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience defining and executing against both short and long-term roadmap strategies

  • 5+ years of defining, building, and managing technical platforms and initiatives at large scale

  • Experience with Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and programs

  • Experience coordinating requirements across customer or stakeholder groups


  • Broad technical breadth and depth including familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

  • Previous experience being a hands-on data analyst/scientist and comfortable writing code and testing features

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

  • High attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communication, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
