Product Manager for the Oracle Support Knowledge : Oracle’s Support knowledgeable is one of the largest customer facing knowledge bases with over 1.3M knowledge documents and 6M monthly searches. Most of our Support knowledge articles are created as a byproduct to improve the knowledge authoring process during the handling of the Service Request . The software infrastructure spans from authoring to customer consumption and is supported by extensive feature rich tooling. The search and browse capabilities for customers include features such as facet / filter refinements, search suggests, knowledge recommendations etc. The knowledge program includes hundreds of knowledge communities that are actively managed to enhance the currency and relevancy of content as well managing customer feedback.

Responsibilities include:

Lead Program Management of Knowledge communities to ensure current and relevant content

Ensure Knowledge Presentation & Search Effectiveness for Customers and Engineers

Ensure Timely Knowledge creation via Oracle Diagnostic Methodology (ODM) used in solving Oracle’s SR’s

Develop requirements, participate in design and testing to ensure software tooling enhancements conform to the plan and are designed to Knowledge Program objectives.

Qualifications : Expert on Knowledge Centered Support practices and technologies Engineering experience

Proficient in diagnostic methodologies

Analytics experience

Experience with Machine Learning and AI technologies Experience leading virtual teams

Good written and verbal skills

Proficient in Powerpoint and Excel

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 of software engineering or related experience preferred.
