We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the team and drive various business-critical projects. You will work alongside multiple engineering teams to help set and drive priorities, communicate worldwide to understand and address critical blockers and participate in building innovative experiences in a fast-paced, startup-like environment that directly impacts the products you help drive.

Manage the development and implementation process of a complex migration program across different generations of Oracle Cloud. Seeking knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and cloud technologies. Knowledge of OCI is a bonus. Understanding of Migration processes are required. Knowledge and experiences in both software migration and hardware/network decommissioning is needed. Manage and facilitate all tasks related to smooth exits or shutdowns of existing datacenter(s).

Manage the complex migration program involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of migration or end-of life plan for existing products/services in cloud. Plan and track schedules and monitor cost impacts to different organizations. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Six to ten+ years of project management or related experience preferred.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA is a plus

  • 6 to 10+ years managing large scale technical programs spanning multiple teams and organizations

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of cloud computing.

  • Experience with Migrations processes, hardware decommissioning, and datacenter exit processes.

  • Experience managing cloud oriented projects

  • Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure

  • Software development experience

  • Understanding and experience with agile, standards, tools, and processes


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers, SRE’s, SDE’s, and Product Solution Engineers to document, organize, and drive delivery of a diverse set of business and technical customer requirements.

  • Manage projects from inception to delivery

  • Develop standards for program management and executive reporting

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the engineering, data center, business operations, and product management teams

  • Coordinate cross-initiative projects, enabling reduced effort for similar activities and speeding project completion

  • Establish relationships with line of business partners to coordinate and execute critical projects across teams

  • Lead executive initiatives on emerging business challenges and critical cloud migration activities

  • Drive initiatives to improve development and business operations processes

  • Lead project team from initiation through delivery.

  • Organize interdepartmental activities, ensuring project/product delivery completion on schedule and within defined constraints.

  • Assign and monitor engineering and program staff work, providing technical support and direction while reporting to executive staff regularly.

  • Manage regular communications both with leadership, customers and with internal stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively with your team, cross-functional leaders, and partners and customers to define clear solutions and strategies around Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

  • Manage executive communication on status and OKRs, KPIs, and related metrics

  • Define programs to accelerate internal customer adoption of OCI through repeatable and scalable processes

  • Document and maintain support assets such as run books and support procedures

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

California Pay Range: from $87,800 to $214,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Colorado Pay Range: from $101,400 to $193,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

New York City Pay Range: from $101,400 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Washington Pay Range: from $113,400 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
