Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a USAF C2 program in either the Boston MA area (Hanscom AFB, MA) or Hampton, VA area (Langley AFB, VA) locations. The program is a Government-owned and Government-led C2 weapon system that provides integrated reporting of the current operating status of Wing and Unit assets at each installation (e.g., main operating base), forward operating location, or contingency location across the Department of the Air Force (DAF). This position is contingent upon award.
What You'll Be Doing:
Establishing a program organization that effectively addresses Government requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations
Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program performance objectives
Measuring and reporting program performance to the Government
Delivering presentations to Government leadership and other program stakeholders
Aiding in management of the program and subordinate baselines
Adherence to all internal Government processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation, and realization
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of work experience in the aerospace/defense industry supporting U.S. government contracts or equivalent work experience in government, military, or other industries
6+ years of demonstrated success leading teams or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage a project team daily and communicate effectively with segment leadership regarding status, awareness, and performance escalations
Ability to manage projects to specified milestones and established schedules
Ability to resolve disputes and negotiate with positive outcome while maintaining good relationships within the organization, specifically between peers and management
Competent in standard Microsoft Office Software Suite Knowledge of pricing and proposals
Ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.
Ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program
Must have current Secret Clearance or above
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience managing agile software development efforts and DevSecOps
Understanding of USAF C2 capabilities, programs, and organizations
Graduate-level degree in Business or Project Management
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
