Location/Division Specific Information

Tewkesbury MA, San Jose / Pleasanton CA, or Hillsboro OR preferred. The position can be remote under certain circumstances.

How will you make an impact?

You will work directly with senior leadership to identify objectives and define implementation strategies which further our strategic portfolio goals for the divisional IT team. You will drive standard methodologies into our critical business processes crafting groundbreaking improvements in performance. Your knowledge in professional program / project management skills and experience in leading large transformation program will build a top performing organization.

What will you do?

  • The Program Manager will elevate innovation, simplification, and organizational change by leading, planning, executing, and optimizing with an emphasis on horizontal alignment across the Analytics Instruments Group for technology and process through continuous improvement, along with collaboration and influencing.

  • The Program Manager will facilitate the development of cases and mobilize the effort for planning

  • As a Portfolio Manager you will lead the planning activities for the divisional IT team; ensuring the portfolio is aligned with the division’s goals and strategies and that priorities are balanced

  • The Portfolio Manager will identify and mitigate critical risks to the team’s ability to deliver on our strategic commitments

  • In this role, you will lead teams at various levels with a focus on capabilities, epics and user story governance through backlog prioritization, using the framework of SAFe and Agile where applicable to drive business results through technology development.

  • These projects will cross business functions such as supply chain, service, sales and business operations to set a course and complete process improvements and strategy. This will be a hands-on role that leads project execution, as a partner to the IT teams and business.

How will you get here?

Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in a business or technical field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 4 years proven experience leading organizational level projects with a minimum of 5 years in a lead role; demonstrating successful completion of sophisticated, cross functional project/program development & delivery in a multi-national enterprise, preferably with experience in commercial or service operations

  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience running portfolios of projects and maintaining balance in the portfolio against the organization’s strategies

  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in providing governance and quality assurance to a portfolio of projects, ensuring the projects identify and implement risk mitigation approaches in order to deliver on their commitments

  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in reviewing project charters, schedules, resource and financial plans to ensure the overall portfolio meets its spend and benefit realization commitments

  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO)

  • Facilitating the creation of project plans & timelines, operating mechanisms, dashboards & financial scorecards for each initiative to keep executive leaders current on progress & potential red flags

  • Leading project status & cross-functional alignment reviews while supervising interdependencies through appropriate operating mechanisms

  • Leading multiple projects simultaneously & seamlessly navigate contending demands with zero impact to results

  • Experience working in IT business systems like SAP, SFDC, Planview a plus

  • Professional certification in areas of expertise like PMI/PPI/Lean/Six Sigma a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements

  • Proven track record to quickly learn and become authority in business processes

  • Validated experience to influence critical partners in a global, high technology manufacturing environment

  • Expert level project management & organizational change skills, experience working in a PMO framework

  • Ability to create a case and run benefits through the life cycle into steady state

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent documentation skills

  • Ability to communicate and champion sophisticated or technical concepts to a broad audience

Travel : Post COVID, the role will require global travel, estimated at 25% depending on the projects.
