U.S. Bank Program/Project Manager Consultant in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Support business initiatives related to improving operations or solving critical business issues. Supports business tech strategy/project team to analyze growing business needs for automation and handle implementation of associated projects.

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Program/Project Manager Consultant with strong strategic and enterprise project management experience to contribute toward the success of our non-technology initiatives. Provide oversight to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives for large sized programs/projects with extensive complexity for multi-year initiatives. Manage programs/projects from initial concept through post implementation, including multiple implementation cycles. Plan and control multiple related projects with complex dependencies and shared resources and trains others in the use of planning tools. Build relationships with sponsoring executives and among different groups within and outside the department while serving as a liaison. Address issues via direct one-on-one dialog with resources. Clarify boundaries of acceptable risk and removes obstacles. Author program artifacts and develops and maintains plans. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes project plan activities. Author effective, clear, concise, and relevant communication for program/project stakeholders. Communicate difficult and/or complex ideas and presents the appropriate message to audiences up to and including Vice Chair. Determine knowledge and skills required for successful project outcomes. Promote collaborative relationships across project team members. Inspire commitment, high energy, and positive attitudes. Influence multiple constituencies. Manages program/project team size of more than 30 team members. May manage a staff of up to 5 employees. Responsible for recommendations for hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-PMI Project Management Professional credential a plus

-At least 10 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling non-IT and IT projects.

Extensive experience in:

-System development life cycle

-Document management

Subject matter expert in:

-Project control and reporting

-IT project management

-Project planning and organization
