Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager, Customer & Marketing, Human Services Transformation in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Deliver components of client engagements that identify, design and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code issues, and resolve errors by correcting codes. Supervise computer programmers and other systems analysts by serving as project leaders for particular systems projects. Develop software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation. Evaluate the organization s technology needs and recommend improvements, including hardware and software upgrades. Analyze client needs and requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Stay abreast of advances in technology. Analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering. Use object-oriented programming languages, as well as client and server applications development processes and multimedia and Internet technology. Design and deliver large, complex enterprise software solutions built using distributed technology platforms like J2EE and databases including DB2 and Oracle. Lead, implement, manage and support multiple projects using technologies including Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, IBM Websphere, RAD, EJB, Spring, MyBatis, Zookeeper, JSF, ActiveMQ, Windows, Linux. Develop applications and implement interfaces to communicate with clients using mule, simple access object protocol and web services description language. Write and optimize in-application SQL statements and ensure security issues in SQL injection, performance and potential blocking and deadlocking. Resolve critical client problems using logic, experience and critical thinking to analyze and identify business and technical problems. Oversee production support, application maintenance and system enhancements by monitoring system health, bug fixing reported production issues and working on building new features to support state mandate requirements using such as TSO, JIRA, Logging, Eclipse and IRAD plugins. Identify performance improvements and provide technical solutions and resolve long running job issues by estimating project efforts and planning resource allocation for each release.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree Computer Science, Engineering (any), IT, MIS, CIS or a related field.

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Project Delivery Manager, as a Program Analyst, or in a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have five years of experience with:

  • Designing and delivering large, complex enterprise software solutions built using distributed technology platforms including J2EE and databases including DB2 and Oracle;

  • Leading, architecting, implementing, managing and supporting multiple projects using technologies including Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, IBM Websphere, RAD, EJB, Spring, MyBatis, Zookeeper, JSF, ActiveMQ, Windows, Linux;

  • Developing applications and implementing interfaces to communicate with clients using mule, simple access object protocol and web services description language;

  • Writing and optimizing in-application SQL statements and ensure security issues in SQL injection, performance and potential blocking and deadlocking;

  • Resolving critical client problems using logic, experience and critical thinking to analyze and identify business and technical problems;

  • Overseeing production support, application maintenance and system enhancements by monitoring system health, bug fixing reported production issues and working on building new features to support state mandate requirements using TSO, JIRA, Logging, Eclipse and IRAD plugins;

  • Identifying performance improvements and providing technical solutions and resolve long running job issues by estimating project efforts and planning resource allocation for each release.

  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Master s degree or foreign equivalent in a stated field and three years of experience.

  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience acceptable.

  • 80% travel required.

  • Telecommuting permitted.
