Job Description Summary:

Rocket Software is a 30-year old software company with a strong market position with modernizing critical business systems. The business unit focused on Data Modernization holds a set of technologies that ensure that data within organizations is managed, governed, tracked and shared appropriately. These industry-leading technologies are used by Fortune 1000 companies around the globe, supporting the growth of their businesses.

Within the Data Modernization business unit, the Operations team is growing to include a Project Manager function that supports the business unit. This role has four primary components:

• Supporting the product release process across the three engineering groups within the business unit

• Supporting the cross-functional integration between product management and downstream GTM functions like Sales Operations and Finance

• Supporting Engineering and Quality metrics, OKR’s, dashboards for the Business Unit

• Supporting acquisition and integration projects

The role will span support for the Business Unit, and engage directly with Engineering, Product Management, Design and Architecture, as well as functions outside the BU including Sales, Marketing, Finance and People teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Represent BU stakeholder and coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of various Engineering and other projects

  • Work with Product Managers to manage various Product Codes and SKUs

  • Work across all Engineering and Product Management teams to create dashboards, metrics, and OKRs to track BU progress

  • Assist in definition of scope and product release, and run Rocket’s product release process

  • Support BU integration activities

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of various BU activities

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders in setting up new product requirements, including license management, new SKU creation, product launch, etc.

  • Continuously make recommendations and put forth ideas to better business processes and systems

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of project management experience

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

  • Working knowledge of enterprise software and how employees use these solutions to solve specific business problems

  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders in multiple departments

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to communicate effectively to a broad set of stakeholders

Preferred Qualification:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field of study preferred

Travel Requirements:

Minimal, <5%
