Role Value Proposition:

The associate will be part of the Fund Management team and responsible for developing, maintaining and QA of 30+ in-house Access and Excel systems/databases, as well as serve as department key technical associate for enterprise Regulatory SEC Print system and web application. The associate will also assist on driving initiatives to comply with new regulatory requirements and implement cost optimization enhancements for the delivery of regulatory communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and QA new Access and Excel applications and provides business solutions for the Fund Management group and business partners; build, maintain and debug existing Access/Excel/VBA programs and SQL scripts with DB2 database, to ensure integrity of data, improve quality & efficiency, and remain current on applicable business functions and technology tools.

  • Serves as technical expert for SEC Print system and web application; builds test cases and QA’s system enhancements and sign-off protocols before production deployment; responsible for the data collection, coordination, output, reporting, analysis, and delivery of all regulatory communications and product & fund prospectus and report mailings. provides recommendations and optimization enhancements on Regulatory Communications delivery

  • Manipulates data using different sources and enterprise databases and systems to develop complex ad hoc and new reports, analyze and validate reports for accuracy and completeness; tailor report formats to business management and deliver timely. Provide recommendations to management on optimization and cost saving opportunities.

  • Support current cost allocation applications and processes and analyze cost savings changes.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Excellent experience working with relational databases (DB2, SQL Server, Access) and data analysis/mining.

  • Strong computer languages skills such as VBA, C sharp, Python.

  • Strong SQL skills.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, data management and project management skills.

  • Detail oriented, organized, and ability to work independently.

  • 4-5 years of related work experience preferably in financial services.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience, preferred MIS or Computer Science.

  • 5-7 years of related work experience preferably in financial services.

  • Broad knowledge of Variable Annuity and Life business.

  • Advanced knowledge of technology system processes, reporting functions, and methodologies.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

  • Able to manage an assignment throughout its entire life cycle to meet key deadlines and communicate progress to management.
