Citizens Risk Intelligence - Data Analytics Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

As Citizens continues to transform and enhance its digital capabilities, Risk Intelligence continues to focus and expand its capabilities on ways to identify, assess, and monitor risks and control effectiveness through use of advanced data and analytics. The Data Analytics Lead will be a key contributor in helping to drive this transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation initiatives and digital transformation within operational risk and compliance by applying Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness within the key areas of non-financial risk.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of leadership to assess needs, achieve alignment, promote “the vision”, and secure agreement on strategy and outcomes.

  • Evaluate capabilities, recognize deficiencies and shortcomings, and establish goals to streamline roadmaps to align with overall objectives.

  • Contribute to the definition and execution of data models, reporting, automated data systems, dashboards, and key metrics to uncover potential areas of non-compliance.

  • Champion the utilization of advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis to convert findings into impactful business results.

  • Provide guidance and direction to a team of analytics and data science professionals, fostering their growth and development through mentoring and leadership.

    Qualifications

  • 10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years of leadership experience in operational and enterprise risk including use of data and analytics, to include AI and Machine Learning

  • 5+ years of experience with relevant technologies and tools for monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data.

  • Proven experience and passion for driving transformational change, influencing geographically dispersed large teams of world-class professional and in implementation of cost effective and technology enabled innovative solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and leading teams, both direct reports and in peer/influence models. Effectiveness in working within a large scale and complex matrix organization is essential

  • Unwavering focus on maintaining strong risk control effectiveness while developing new data driven methods for identifying and measuring risk and improving techniques and tools

  • Experience with defining vision, designing solutions, and communicating high level operational roadmaps and outcomes to audiences across diverse disciplines

  • Excellent (verbal and written) communication skills in interacting with executive management, non-executives, regulators, and across several business lines and control functions

  • Strong understanding of various Machine Learning approaches, model selection criteria and Supervised/Unsupervised learning techniques, ETL processes, reporting and visualization techniques using business intelligence and analytics tools

  • Good working knowledge of Agile (scrum) framework

  • Knowledge of the data pipeline and experience working with data through the various stages: identifying, validating, ingesting, monitoring, predicting, reacting, explaining

  • Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work consistently

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Masters’ degree preferred
