Salesforce COE Delivery Engagement Leader
The Salesforce COE Delivery Engagement Leader oversees all Salesforce and Mulesoft delivery within the Salesforce COE and Mulesoft C4E for the US Member Firm. This includes establishing the strategic direction of the delivery organization, serving as the primary point of escalation for all team and stakeholder challenges. Overseeing all Delivery Managers to ensure all project scope, roadmap, budget activities are aligned and support the defined client goals. The Engagement Leader is responsible to coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Delivery Managers and staff, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Lead all aspects of US stakeholder Salesforce delivery for the Salesforce COE
Oversee all Salesforce technical delivery Communities of Practice (e.g. DevSecOps, BSA, Engineering) responsibilities within the US
Client Management: Point of escalation and alignment for all US Salesforce COE stakeholders
Delivery: Oversee the internal US Salesforce delivery. Responsibilities include, among others, overseeing delivery managers who are responsible for client, budget, team, and roadmap management for the US
Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers within the Deloitte firm; organize and lead internal pursuits (new business) on Salesforce for the US; participate and lead aspects of the business case development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff
Manage and oversee day to day activities of team and ensure adherence to enterprise standards in project execution methodology, technical delivery, and standards compliance
Align delivery organization to Portfolio Management enabling growth of the organization by business domain
Identify and resolve issues, risks and conflicts within the project teams and delivery expectations
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify possible crises and devise contingency plans
Monitor emerging technology trends within Salesforce ecosystem
Manage vendor relationships and interactions with Salesforce and other vendors on the Salesforce platform in relation to delivery expectations
Partner with Salesforce COE Sr. Architect to innovate on Salesforce technologies
Required Technical Skills:
Advanced MS Office; advanced proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile preferred); project Management experience dealing with projects of different sizes; demonstrated experience working with diverse client groups, preferably on a global basis; ability to manage concurrent initiatives and use effective judgment in prioritization and time management; proven ability to present materials to senior audiences; excellent analytical/problem solving ability; strong influence and negotiation skills; very strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent relationship management skills; creative and Independent thinking; large team management of 50+ individuals
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:
PMP an asset
Salesforce certification(s) a plus
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or equivalent professional experience or qualifications
12 - 15 years of experience in technical project execution/leadership and/or technology consulting on large enterprise projects (Salesforce experience preferred)
5+ years of consulting and / or CRM (or equivalent) (Salesforce preferred) implementation experience
At least 4 full life-cycle Salesforce implementation with strong expertise in 2 of the following modules: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Platform; additional experience with Salesforce App Exchange packages a plus
Experience managing at least four large-scale full-life cycle implementations on Salesforce technologies
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other).
Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical).
Must be able to work on a team based in EST
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Ability to travel up to 10% is required (While 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).
