Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Architect who is responsible for interpreting client requirements, business processes, and use cases to produce quality technical designs in the implementation, enhancement and support of eCommerce projects.
Provide guidance and oversight to development teams to ensure that both the process is followed and the solution that is delivered is consistent with Bluewolf development policies and standards.
Work closely with clients to understand their business and their existing technologies, and using your knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, web applications and integration techniques, design a complete solution for the integration, extension or enhancement of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform.
Document technical specifications and diagrams that will be used as the reference to the development team for building the eCommerce solution as well as transition to our support team prior to site launch. The technical specifications will be updated throughout the development cycle as things change with client approvals.
Be the subject matter expert on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and share knowledge with the team and help mentor newer developers. You are required to stay ahead of the new trends that are relevant to the eCommerce space as well as improving our internal development life cycle processes.
Participate in the sales process, communicating with prospective clients about our processes, potential architectures for their solutions, and estimating level of effort with our Sales and Business Development Teams.
Work with a Solution Architect and Business Analysts to turn client requirements into use cases and tasks with technical specifications. You will work with the Team Lead to assign those tasks to the development team, run sprint planning meetings, and participate in the project scrum meetings.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
6-8 years of experience in technical roles and/or consulting
At least 3 years of hands-on experience building technical solutions for and integrations with Commerce Cloud
3+ years of experience in a client facing (external or internal) role
3+ years of experience leading project teams, experience working with offshore teams a plus
Experience with front-end development, Pipelines, JS Controllers, Demandware Script, ISML templates, web services, script debugging, troubleshooting, and performance management
Certifications in Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer and Architect
Understanding of agile and waterfall development practices
Understanding of commerce ecosystem, data models, and common integrations
Ability to lead and facilitate workshops, technical requirements gathering, and design sessions
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
