Danaher Corporation Scientific Presales Solutions Consultant (Remote) in Boston, Massachusetts

Our Solutions Consultant is a remote-based position and can sit anywhere in the US (east coast preferred.)

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to help qualify the customers’ needs and drive the engagement through to a successful sale.

  • Provide support to the Account Managers and assist with the qualification of customer opportunities from a product/solution fit and customer benefit standpoint

  • Regularly and independently execute the full sales cycle for small to mid-sized sales opportunities.

  • Support the creation of presales collateral required to support a sales for large sized sales opportunities lead by Lead Solutions Consultants

  • Define and clearly articulate the customers journey towards a successful deployment of the IDBS platform

  • Define and be responsible for pre-sales actions on qualified opportunities in partnership with Account Managers and the Solutions Consultancy Team

  • Demonstrate ability to develop and manage customer and IDBS partner relationships on a short and long-term basis.

  • Work in partnership with the Sales team to demonstrate direct value and efficiency savings to our customers through detailed ROI

  • Effectively deliver value-based product demonstrations to customers (remote, in-person or at conferences)

  • Work within the Solutions Consultancy Team to review and improve our pre-sales materials through continuous improvement. Apply focus on the value proposition and “buying enablement” for our customers

  • Provide customer feedback to the Product Managers and Marketing on existing products and industry trends.

  • Maintain commercial awareness of IDBS’ customers and competitors.

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualifications and/or equivalent bench scientist experience working in an R&D environment (i.e., pharmaceutical or biotech)

  • Candidates should demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse customer community such as scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors

  • Be able to coordinate multiple customer activities simultaneously

  • Collate, analyze and interpret complex R&D Data efficiently

  • Questioning and listening – help win new business

  • Ability to travel required
