KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join ourpractice.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile transactional data feeds from various clients to produce tax reports for the tax engagement teams

  • Work with tax business teams to identify anomalies, trends and derive insights in large volumes of data to support tax planning

  • Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data and identify patterns and communicate findings via visualization tools

  • Work effectively with various technology groups, clients and tax domain experts

  • Assist with data acquisition from disparate systems and in different formats including ERP systems, web, databases and excel, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in accounting, computer science, information systems, management information systems or related fields

  • A minimum of three years of experience performing data reconciliation or mutual fund tax background.

  • Experience in data reconciliation from mutual/hedge fund accounting systems is required.

  • Strong excel knowledge is required.

  • Knowledge of Alteryx or database technologies (SQL Server, etc) is a plus

  • Knowledge of machine learning and/or big data tools (Spark, Hive, Pig, etc) is a plus
