Operational technology systems connect and organize, operate and execute physical processes and tasks – i.e. valves, pumps, actuators and protect a variety of industrial physical devices ranging from networking equipment, physical security systems and production controlling equipment. These systems are complex and bespoke, and need to be designed, manufactured, deployed, connected, and protected. That is the work of Operational Technology Cyber Group.

We are looking for a people leader who can grow and advance a group that provides OT networking, cybersecurity, systems design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and consulting services. We are a geographically and socially diverse team that delivers exceptional service to internal and external clients for various industry sectors including, but not limited to water and wastewater, power, oil & gas, transportation, smart urban facilities, as well as advanced manufacturing.

With emphasis on critical infrastructure, you will lead a Group that assesses, designs, and implements a wide set of cybersecurity solutions for diverse set of projects in infrastructure. You will lead a group with individuals from various geographies and sectors who are responsible for servicing our clients across the Americas. This gives you the exposure to further shape your career by making multiple connections across Jacobs. We’ll provide the support and opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and experience you need to succeed.

Your primary task is in building and diversifying a larger team to help deliver design, consulting, implementation, and managed OT cybersecurity services to internal and external clients. Project and project level task management is required. Travel is estimated up to about 25%. By working closely with other technical teams (including I&C engineers and other specialists), the ideal candidate will ensure effective OT cybersecurity solutions are in place throughout all systems and platforms, to mitigate identified risks, and to meet project objectives, regulatory, and client requirements. Additionally, in an effort to meet tomorrow’s technology and cybersecurity challenges, this position will require focused knowledge of future OT trends and technologies.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in business development and growth, and leadership of highly technical teams

• Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical field is required

• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders across Jacobs’ market sectors

• Demonstrated ability to grow, effectively manage, lead a geographically dispersed highly technical team

• Knowledge of security processes and organizational design

• Strong conceptual thinking and communication skills — the ability to conceptualize complex business and technical requirements into comprehensible models and templates

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization

• Excellent planning and organizational skills with an ability to understand the long-term ("big picture")

• Ability to think strategically and implement iteratively

• Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation

• Strong understanding of current industrial trends, applications and systems used in water, power, transportation, and urban development

• Understanding of SCADA operation work relating to Critical Infrastructure

• Understanding of NIST 800-82 and to some extent, NIST 800-53

• Independent with strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Ideally, You’ll Have:

• Strong interest in the field of cybersecurity in industrial control systems and internet of things (IoT/IIoT)

• MBA in Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical field is preferred

• Familiarity with operating and extracting data from ICS networking/cybersecurity tools such as:
