The Senior Epic Analyst shall be responsible for:
Serving as a subject-matter expert with deep knowledge of the core Epic application, related non-Epic products/applications and the supported operational processes. Within standard protocols, independently managing the design, build/configuration, testing and ongoing support of assigned Epic application areas.
Applying a consultative approach, engaging internal subject-matter experts in operations to understand current and anticipated operational needs. Conducts extensive technology and operations analyses to identify root causes of complex problems
Participating in analyzing tickets to identify need for project-based work (i.e., enhancement, system modifications). Typically conducts initial scoping of requests that are more complex.
Leading or investigating and resolving complex tickets that: cross-supported applications encompass a broader process (e.g., areas of the revenue cycle, PB working with HB on charge router issues, etc.) and/or are difficult to initially define. Resolves more advanced issues related to vendor peripheral device support, as appropriate (e.g., Instamed, Rev Springs, Claims Logic, multiple banks, Experian, Transworld, International Collections vendor (GCS)).
Performing advanced configuration or customization, as necessary, to address business needs. Modifying builds incorporating significant edits (i.e., larger security class edits), whole new functionality, numerous cross-application (Epic and non-Epic) integrations, complex logic (e.g., whole scheduling family), creation of new templates based on existing standards (e.g., new provider set-up, new user groups), etc.
Managing the implementation of supported core application changes with third party, Epic-eligible vendors and/or internal proprietary applications to ensure integration.
Participating in upgrades by owning release notes that impact multiple areas within the supported applications and that require coordination across teams.
Managing project work ensuring completion according to schedule.
Presenting at national forums (i.e., Epic XGM - Expert Group Meeting, Epic UGM Support - User Group Meeting). Attending Epic related conferences, trainings at Epic for additional certifications, or internal BCH offerings.
In order to qualify you must have:
A Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
Epic Certification in Resolute Professional Billing Administration (OR Resolute Professional Billing Administration including Single Billing Office)
3 years of experience directly involved in Epic application support performing builds in the targeted application(s). Demonstrated experience performing moderately complex builds.
