AMP Agency Senior Graphic Designer in Boston, Massachusetts


Amp Boston is on the lookout for an inspired designer to join our fast-paced, energetic, (and currently remote) social media content creation team. The Creative Department is responsible for the implementation, visual identity, and execution of all projects within the agency. Spearheading AMP Agency?s integrated approach, the Design Team works to ensure the highest quality work in multiple digital media channels.

The ideal candidate will have an impressive portfolio showing next level design and photography skills in work that displays unique and engaging social media content, and a strong knowledge of the organic and paid social media landscapes. You must love food, cooking, and trends in those areas.

In exchange for your efforts, you will get to play a critical role in a fun-loving but hard-working atmosphere while working primarily on a well known grocery brand.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create on-trend, on-brand, high performing, and fun social content from concept to completion

  • Stay on top of trends in social media content, finding ways to incorporate their use for our client?s content streams

  • Understand the client?s brand, campaigns, and business goals and create content that helps to meet those goals

  • Participate in brainstorms and ideate on your own to develop content concepts on a monthly/seasonal schedule

  • Use design, photography, and light motion graphics/animation to bring the group?s ideas to life

  • Execute others? ideas with the same care and precision you do your own

  • Take feedback from client, strategy and creative leaders into account and translate that into new and effective solutions

  • Participate in planning and execution of on-site video and photo shoots

  • Work independently and as a member of a group to create content

  • Participate in client and internal creative review meetings, occasionally presenting the department?s work, explaining design rationale to non-designers, collecting and absorbing feedback and offering solutions in real time

  • Share your technical software and design expertise with more junior designers

  • Help other designers in the development of all skills relevant to their growth as professional designers

  • Keep current on advertising campaigns, design trends, and industry technology, sharing findings with the department to facilitate new ways of thinking, working, and problem solving

  • Work as needed on the Agency?s other accounts to design assets for social content, digital media and new business pitches

    Required Skills:

  • Design. Expert level.

  • Photography. Must be comfortable shooting lifestyle and tabletop photography.

  • An understanding of and appreciation for all social channels and current activity trending on each

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • An innate understanding of UX, and up to date knowledge of best practices

  • Proficiency with Mac OSX, Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Slides

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and to meet deadlines on a daily basis in a team-oriented environment

  • Working knowledge of digital communication channels

  • Requirements: Minimum 3 years creative agency experience

    Highly recommended additional skills:

  • Video editing. Basic Adobe Premier

  • Motion graphics animation: Basic After Effects

  • Cooking. Food styling.
