This position is responsible for projects related to implementation and continuous improvement of core financial systems. This person and their team will work closely with stakeholders from the Global Finance community as well as firm management and other global departments.

You will essentially serve as a business solution architect for our SAP S/4HANA Cloud platform, providing expertise covering all aspects of the application lifecycle (implementation, operations, and optimization). You'll understand the business processes from end to end and how those are embedded within the technology, as well as the integration points and flow of information from any upstream system into SAP, through the various modules, and then out to other systems that rely on SAP financial data.


Leadership/Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Global Finance teams and leadership on system strategy and priorities

  • Act as a thought partner for senior level stakeholders, keeping a pulse on evolving needs and ensuring the technology supports business needs

  • Become a trusted advisor for the business in driving adoption of standard solutions before considering customizations/extensions

  • Develop and nurture relationships with customer teams to promote teaming and drive innovation

  • Strategize with peers and team to ensure we are creating an environment of inclusion, opportunity, trust and support

Implementation & Continuous Improvement

  • Independently manage the implementation of new modules and functionality, ensuring various phases and milestones are achieved

  • Partner with business leads to define project objectives, system dependencies, critical path to launch, risk assessment/mitigation, test planning, training strategy, communication and successful rollout

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation

  • Design a sustainable solution as close to the standard functionality of the application and best practice industry standards

  • Engage with implementation partners and vendors to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical capabilities

  • Seek out partnerships with internal teams (IT, Finance, etc.) to understand impact of implementation on other Bain systems

Manage Existing System Programs & Operations

  • Engage with customer teams on a regular cadence, identifying risks and providing support

  • Manage complex integrations, reporting, and security approach

  • Continuously monitor vendor roadmap, evaluating upcoming releases, and identifying potential impacts to current configuration and processes

  • Oversee upgrades, ensuring a comprehensive test plan is developed and successfully executed

  • Manage the communication strategy to ensure continuous learning and informed customers and business leads



  • Bachelor’s degree required with strong academic record in Accounting or IT-related field of study


  • 8-15 years of progressive work experience in a technical/system related role

  • Prior implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Essentials (Multi-Tenant Edition) or other SAP Finance solutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and core Finance business processes

  • Excellent organization, logic, and analytical skills with a very strong aptitude for problem solving

  • Proven ability to apply agile concepts and methodology to ensure technology solutions are flexible to meet changing business needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in effective change management techniques; able to work well with all levels of the organization

  • Enthusiastic team player; productive working independently or as part of a team
