This position will be on the Agile Platform Team and will primarily support Atlassian tools and will be responsible for ensuring all internal customers are able to effectively access Jira and related tools. This role will be responsible for providing technical direction and leadership of the engineering team and ensuring the technical strategy is clear to enterprise stakeholders.

A Senior Chapter Engineering Manager is a master architect that is responsible for managing a small group of engineers, architects, and agile program managers. Additional responsibilities include driving strategic technology initiatives, aligning the organization to deliver services of the Innovation Accelerator.

Develops andcoachesteams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectivelymanagesrisk within the teams you oversee.

Responsibilities

• Establishes & owns the overall strategy for the product area represented. Works witharchitects to identify & evaluate capabilities required to support business, ensuringalignment to overall strategy. Works with product owners, socializing strategies, aiding in generation of roadmaps. Produces reference and solution architectures for the development community. Works with innovation team to bring capabilities to market.

• Provides leadership and mentors architects, creates opportunities to highlight the teamthrough external speaking engagements, blogs, etc. Manages and champions organizational changes.

• Communicates implications of design decisions, technology costs, benefits, andimplementation requirements to executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related

• 4+ years of experience in Engineering People Management

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

• 7+ year of Direct Administration Experience in Atlassian Products including Jira

• A self starter who can manage multiple initiative simultaneously

• Experience deploying and managing the Atlassian product suite at an enterprise scale

• Demonstrated experience in design and implementation of Atlassian tools and customization

• Solid background in Agile principles

• Demonstrable experience developing integrations within Jira

• Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, ETC)

• Experience with Scripting with any of the following: Groovy, Python, Bash
