Oracle Senior Manager, OCI Corporate Network (JoinOCI-Leader) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced leader with strong management skills to help us transform the corporate network and build the capabilities of our team. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team in the design, delivery, and operation of critical employee connectivity services. You will work with peers, executive management, and project managers to prioritize and optimize work loads within your team and between teams. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver. You should be comfortable taking on new challenges that develop your skills and the skills of your team.

Responsibilities

Title: Senior Manager, OCI Corporate Network

About Us:

The Corporate Networking organization within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) designs, deploys, operates, and supports employee connectivity solutions and services for Oracle. We manage Corporate Offices, On-Prem Data Centers, wired/wireless networks, WAN connectivity, and related services such as VPN and IDS/IPS.

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team in the design, delivery, and operation of critical employee connectivity services. You will work with peers, executive management, and project managers to prioritize and optimize work loads within your team and between teams. You should be comfortable taking on new challenges that develop your skills and the skills of your team.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or MCA or equivalent. Master’s degree or an MBA is an added advantage.

• 4+ years of direct management experience in a technology role

• 10+ years of experience solving complex infrastructure problems in Network and software development

• Experience with infrastructure products, tools, services, networking, and troubleshooting

• Technical skillsets: Software development methodologies, Agile concepts, Network infrastructure & services (Routing, switching, firewall, Load Balancer, Wireless, SDWAN, Cloud), Python, Ansible

• Experience with CI/CD solutions and implementing Infrastructure as a code.

• Ability to develop service roadmaps, understanding customer needs

• Ability to coach & mentor network engineers and software developers

• Strong team player, analytical thinker, and problem solver with a results-driven go getter attitude

• Technical and Engineering mindset to solve IT challenges

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities:

• Hire, Manage, and lead a strong technical team of engineers responsible for designing, delivering, and operating network services

• Understand and contribute to technical architectures, tooling needs, automation plans, product releases and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges

• Automation mindset. Inspire teams to embrace the philosophy of "How can we automate this manual process?"

• Propose solutions within the infrastructure team to reduce the workload by automation

• Resource forecasting/capacity planning, training, performance management, career development, skill development

• Represent the Corporate Network in reviews and readiness exercises for new and existing services

• Responsible for escalation management, project and queue management, monitor progress of projects, providing technical guidance and assistance

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

California Pay Range: from $107,500 to $241,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Colorado Pay Range: from $113,800 to $216,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

New York City Pay Range: from $113,800 to $229,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Washington Pay Range: from $127,100 to $229,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
